A & W Communications, Inc. Organization and History
A & W Communications, Inc., a Missouri Corporation, has two office locations. The main office is located in Eolia, MO and the other office is located in Jefferson City, MO.
The company began as a sole proprietorship in 1986, and then incorporated in April of 1998 with Thomas White as President. A & W began as a radio sales and service company. After considerable growth, the Kenwood and Harris lines were added.
As the business progressed, other services were added. A & W added its own paging service, which covers most of Missouri and some of Illinois. This paging service uses towers owned by A & W.
A & W has steadily grown, becoming extremely active in tower erection and maintenance, microwave installation, and installation of complete 911 emergency systems. Throughout this time, the company has maintained its primary objective of radio sales and service. In March, 2006, A & W added its store location in Jefferson City, MO, by purchasing Chariton Valley Tristar Communications.
A & W works with many government agencies on city, county, and state levels. In Missouri, we have installed new 911 systems for Lincoln County in Troy, Marion County in Hannibal, Pike County in Bowling Green, Monroe County in Paris, Shelby County in Shelbyville, Algoa State Prison in Jefferson City, ERDCC in Bonne Terre, Chariton County in Keytesville, and Carroll County in Carrollton.
A & W has erected and/or maintained many towers, including towers for US Cellular, SpectraSite, Cingular/AT&T, Comnet, Voicestream, Missouri State Water Patrol, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Department of Conservation, and Missouri Department of Transportation.
A & W has installed Zetron Consoles, Microwave systems, Eventide Logging Recorders and Harris MASTR III base stations/repeaters at many locations.
